Do you like spending a half an hour or even longer, a couple of times a day, driving to and from work? Do enjoy sitting in your car at the traffic lights with all the other workers, thinking about all the problems you will have at work today?
Do you like worrying about whether the boss is in a good mood today or not? About whether the company will go under, and your job will disappear, like so many others jobs have? What about the car that is two vehicles in front of you, with the surfboards on the roof? How does he get to go surfing, while you have to go to work?
And there’s another 4wheel drive up there with fishing rods and camping gear all over it! How do these people do it? Oh No! there goes another one towing a boat, it just turned off to the boat ramp! Why are they allowed to get away with having fun, while I have to work?
Well, they probably found a way to work much smarter, many people have! You can do it too!
Think about the advantages of working from home. A tax deductable office, garage, or workshop! No more huge fuel bills and car maintenance costs! Time to spend with your family, and depending on your own efforts, almost certainly a better income. No more watching the clock to see if it is time to knock off yet! Work your own hours! You are your own boss!
So how do you work smarter, working from home? How do you do this, full time or part time?

Okay, there are many ways to earn a good income from home. Most, but not all, involve the use of a computer. If you own a computer, the business World is your oyster, literally. Why not put your computer to work? 75,000 new people subscribe to the Internet...daily. 100,000 new web sites are built...daily. 125,000 people start a home-based business...every week. 33% of all US new millionaires achieved it through a home-based business.
Government reports indicate that 82% of all working people hate their jobs. 95% of Americans and Australians of age 65 are broke or deceased! Why do you think so many people have started their own online business?
There are many ways to start an online business. Many join MidLevel Marketing (MLM) programs, where you ask people to join your MLM, for a continuing monthly payment, and when they do, you get a percentage of their fees. Some of these programs are no doubt are very good. However, the difficulty I have with them is that, after a lifetime of business experience, I believe that to earn money, you have to have a good product to sell. A real tangible product, that really works, and that people need and want, and are willing to buy.
There are no free lunches on the Internet or anywhere else, unless you are a politician!

There is no doubt that online shopping is very big business. Online business has taken a huge leap forward in the last few years. Reputable and profitable online shops have proven that they can provide excellent service. Customers will buy from a computer, and they will put their credit card details into a secure server.
A few still feel nervous about it, but online shopping is growing at a very steady rate. The Americans and the British took to online shopping like a duck takes to water. Up till now, Australians have been a bit nervous about it, and slow to embrace the concept.
That is changing rapidly, in Australia we now have some excellent online shops, and its possible to purchase almost any product, and quite safely, without risk. I believe that sending your credit card details through a secure server on the Internet is far safer than using an ATM, where anyone can see your pin number. As well, mugging or bag snatching at ATM’s is becoming more prevalent.
Credit Card facilities use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, where your credit card details are immediately encrypted. Even if some human could see your numbers (they can’t!) they would be indecipherable. All your encrypted credit card details stay inside the secure server computer, even the shop assistant at the other end doesn’t ever see your details! Compare that to what happens at a restaurant for instance. The waiter whisks your card away, and who knows what happens to it!

The Online shopping service is great too. All on-line shops are specifically set up to process your order, and get it to you as quickly as possible. Delivery systems are in place to ensure your order arrives quickly. I purchased a hardcover book on-line recently. I put the order in at 9 pm, it arrived in the mail two days later! Online shops have an email address if you have any queries or problems, and all such matters are dealt with immediately.
Even cars and boats sell off the Internet. If you have done your homework, and you know what you want, why chase around town trying to find it? You can compare prices, ask questions, make up your mind what model you want, buy it, have it delivered to your front door, and you don’t even need to get off the chair….other than to refill your tea cup!
But what if you could combine an online and offline business together? What if you could have the advantages of both! Think about that. Your web page advertises your product, worldwide, and sells it too. Depending on your product, and specific country laws, you can sell online to almost any country in the World.
But if you have a good solid product, one you have every confidence in, you can sell in your local regional area as well!
You can advertise locally, provide your office phone number and web site, and/or direct locals to your web page to read about the products! They can purchase from the web page, and order or make inquiries from you by phone, and have the products shipped or delivered direct to their homes. That way you get two bites of the business cherry, so to speak. Online and Offline! Worldwide and Local! How good is that!
