Bushwalking!
Sunshine Coast Queensland Bushwalking Information!

There are many bushwalking tracks on the Sunshine Coast, and more are

planned.  One track under construction is a 45 kilometer track which winds

through the Hinterland, linking Kondallila, Maleny Forest, Mapleton Falls

National Park, and other Conservation Parks.Much of the track is finished.

Walks range from easy to dificult.

A good one for beginners or children (or us oldies!) is Mary Cairncross

Reserve.  It is a very pretty walk, and it's even suitable for wheelchairs! The

turnoff is just before Maleny, on the Maleny-Landsborough road,

A slightly more difficult one is the Trachyte Ciruit, by Mt Tibrogargan, which

can be found by turning off Glasshouse Mountain Rd into Barrs Rd. This is a

5.6 kilometer track through open wooded country to Jack Ferris Lookout.
